Our Approach
Our focus is to prepare children for an ever-changing world by equipping them with independence, a sense of curiosity and a love of learning.
Education
We craft a magical and enriching educational experience that nurtures each child’s individual journey of growth and discovery. Drawing inspiration from acclaimed educational philosophies like Montessori and Reggio Emilia, we weave together the best elements to create a holistic, child-centred learning environment. We understand that every child is unique, so we offer personalised attention to cater to different learning styles and needs. This individualised approach ensures that each child is not only ready for school but also equipped with a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Outdoor Learning
We believe in the transformative power of the outdoors to inspire young minds. That’s why we treat our abundant outdoor space as an open-air classroom, giving children a place to play and connect with the natural world whilst developing a sense of independence and a curiosity about the marvels of nature. From yoga under the sky to growing fresh vegetables in the garden, each activity is crafted to ensure children have a joyful and memorable experience. We are proud to have the largest wild garden in Ludlow and use the space every day to bring learning outdoors and activities into the fresh air.
Nutrition
Good nutrition is important for everyone, but it is absolutely essential during childhood. At Busy Bodies, we put nutrition front and centre. Get ready for ‘Cooking with Claire’ where little chefs whip up healthy treats or join our team of tiny farmers, growing everything from juicy strawberries to spooky Halloween pumpkins. Our curriculum also puts nutrition front and centre. We take pride in teaching the children about healthy eating and the joys of food preparation in a fun and hands-on way. We’re not just filling plates; we’re fostering a lifelong love for healthy eating to ensure the children have a positive relationship with food, embrace the magic of cooking and learn to become food explorers!
Community
We strive to be more than just a nursery and we take great pride in bringing families together with a genuine village nursery atmosphere. Busy Bodies is all about community and our nursery is abuzz with visits from local heroes – whether authors, firefighters, police officers and hairdressers – each bring a slice of the real world to our little learners. The highlight? Our annual Music and Art Festival. For two dazzling weeks in July, the nursery transforms into a kaleidoscope of creativity, where ballet dancers, artists, and musicians visit the nursery to bring every art form to life. We aspire to be a gateway to a world of community connections and cultural celebrations, crafting unforgettable experiences for our children!
